Total GPS Navigation Systems Provider
With more than 35 years of 100% on-orbit mission success, ITT is a total GPS navigation systems supplier providing high-performance, reliable, cost-effective GPS payload, receiver and control solutions. Leveraging our experience and industry-leading visualization capabilities, our GPS systems offer superior accuracy and functionality across the entire GPS network. ITT has been designing, developing, integrating and manufacturing payloads for the highly successful U.S. Air Force NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS) since 1974. In fact, our payloads have been on every GPS satellite ever launched. Our 50+ GPS satellite payloads have accumulated over 500 years of on orbit life without a single mission related failure. This effort has enabled the operational Block I, II, IIA and IIR satellites, and continues with the launch of the Block IIR-M satellites. ITT also provides major subsystems for the upcoming GPS Block IIF payloads. Today, new GPS technologies are being developed that will dramatically improve the accuracy and reliability of this global utility. Advanced military applications of this GPS technology range from guiding cruise missiles and smart bombs to helping soldiers locate their precise position in the desert. Practical commercial uses include land surveying, transportation monitoring, and precision navigation For more information on GPS Navigation Payloads, please view the PDF file. GPS IIR-M ITT's capabilities continue to be the guiding stars behind advances in navigation. For more than 33 years, only ITT has provided payloads for every GPS system. ITT's efforts have provided payloads for the operational Block I, II, IIA and Block IIR replacement payloads. Designed to meet the rigors of space and operate in a radiation contaminated environment, the Block IIR/IIR-M Total Navigation Payload represents a sophisticated system capable of providing precise three dimensional position, time, and velocity information on a 24-hour worldwide basis. The proven navigational payload systems of these satellites are fully reprogrammed while in orbit. GPS III Building on its success of the IIRM series of satellites, ITT is partnered with Lockheed Martin for developing a whole new generation of payloads with increased capabilities and security. ITT has already begun to work on the technology to serve a whole new generation of GPS satellites in the future. Today we stand ready to guide the next generation of GPS. As a result, tomorrow's pilots, soldiers, surveyors, hikers, and motorists can always stay on course. GPS Receivers ITT was one of two successful bidders for a contract from the GPS Wing of the U.S. Air Force to begin to develop a Modernized Space Receiver (MSR), a GPS receiver that will operate in space on low-earth and geo-synchronous orbit satellites and will be able to receive new, modernized GPS signals. MSR will be able to receive and process the military M-Code as well as the legacy P(Y) and C/A codes. MSR will provide the same high level of mission success ITT has demonstrated on its GPS payloads for the last 30 years. GPS Operational Control Systems Leveraging our GPS payload experience and industry-leading visualization capabilities, our GPS OCX system offers superior accuracy and functionality across the entire GPS network. ITT is providing the key navigation processing elements of the OCX Phase engineering model demonstration model, as well as the precision monitor station receivers. The new OCX system when it comes on line will enable the full potential of the modernized GPS satellites to be realized for the benefit of the warfighter and civilian communities. |
